Erin Rhatigan is an RN with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and a public health and case management certification. She has forty years of experience in acute care nursing, nursing education, nursing management, nursing leadership, hospice home care and palliative care nursing, quality assurance, and risk management nursing.
In 2018, she unwittingly became knowledgeable in disaster management and recovery when she found herself as a nurse on the front lines of the Camp Fire wildfire disaster in Paradise, California, where she and her family were living. Erin and her family lost their home, car, and job to the fire, but she and her family learned to pick up the pieces of their lives and move forward. As she launches her new writing career, this book will be the first of many others.
Erin and her family now live on the Big Island of Hawaii where they own their home, and while life has changed, she continues to be thankful for and cherishes life every day.
